Scott Challen, founder of QHI Group and one of the organisers of Brisbane’s March for Australia on Sunday 19 October, has announced the anti-immigration rally’s speaker lineup, which includes:
- Senator Malcolm Roberts (PHON)
- Robbie Katter MP (KAP)
- Former Senator Gerard Rennick (PFP)
- Former Federal Member and Councillor George Christensen (IND)
Challen said other serving politicians, including Murray Watt (ALP), Larissa Waters (GRN) and Paul Scarr (LNP), as well as David Crisafulli (LNP), Jarrod Bleije (LNP) and Fiona Simpson (LNP), declined to join the march or didn’t even bother replying to the invitation.
“If they’d prefer to ignore the genuine concerns of the Australian people, even call those people racists, then that’s on them,” said Challen.
Challen, a former LNP branch secretary, is critical of his former party, especially Senator Paul Scarr, the Coalition’s Shadow Minister for Immigration, who supports Australia’s present migration levels.
“At this point, he’s [Scarr] not a Senator for Queensland, he’s a Senator for Mumbai. He’s only interested in chasing votes from multicultural Brisbane,” said Challen.
The next March for Australia in Brisbane expects to attract more than 20,000 supporters.
